Is there still a role for traditional pet stores ?  The simple answer is - yes.  Pet stores can show you a variety of pet products right in front of your eyes, that you can touch and feel.  Only problem is that most pet stores will have a very limited range of pet products.

It's the same reason Amazon sells so many books.  Choice and convenience.  Pet stores can offer pet supplies plus the ability to touch them, but you've got to drive down there and hope they've got your desired pet products in stock.
